Etched 7 1/2" panels on a slightly curved 30" blade with single fuller & blood groove. Right side has a Federal Eagle over inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Left side is marked "U. S." Unmarked ricasso. Ornate pierced floral ornamented brass hilt with grooved guard. Ornate pommel has floral & star ornamentation around a stars & stripes banner. Brass wire wrapped leather handle. Leather scabbard has 3 brass fittings. CONDITION: blade has original polish showing good etched scenes with dark spotting. Hilt shows a mild patina. Good leather grip. Scabbard has worn age darkened leather. Brass tip has a dent on the right side. (02-27081/DS). NON-GUN. $500-800.
